We are looking for an Agile Business Analyst to join our Casino Development team in Richmond Hill!

This role follows a hybrid approach to working, allowing you to combine working from home with working in our modern offices. These discussions are between you and your manager to find the best pattern for you both! We will kit you out to work from home but know that working as a team is what makes us great and spending quality time together is important for keeping us mission-aligned.

Are you our next star player?

The Business Analyst is the liaison between business stakeholders and development team during the whole development life cycle process. The BSA will assist Product Owner and Product Managers in defining requirements and will become the functional SME of the new feature, product and/or system that is being added to our world class casino gaming platform.

Why we need you

In this role you will help define and deliver solutions that meet business objectives, and will serve as a facilitator between the business and IT in understanding the business’s needs. In partnership with Product Owners, Product Managers, Senior Business Analysts and other interfacing groups you will lead the eliciting, analyzing, validating and managing of requirements, business processes and high-level solution designs.

Responsibilities:

  • Elicits, analyzes, specifies, and validates the business needs of stakeholders.
  • Collaborates with project sponsors to set project scope and vision.
  • Conducts interviews to gather requirements via workshops, questionnaires, surveys, site visits, workflow storyboards, use cases, scenarios, and other methods.
  • Works with squad to prioritize collected requirements.
  • Researches, reviews, and analyzes the effectiveness and efficiency of existing requirements-gathering processes and develop strategies for enhancing or further leveraging these processes.
  • Assists in conducting research on products to meet agreed upon requirements and to support purchasing efforts.
  • Analyzes and verifies requirements for completeness, consistency, comprehensibility, feasibility, and conformity to standards.
  • Develops and utilizes standard templates to accurately and concisely write requirements specifications.
  • Translates conceptual product requirements into functional requirements in a clear manner that is comprehensible to the business/developers/project team.
  • Creates process models, specifications, diagrams, and charts to provide direction to developers and/or the squad.
  • Develops and conduct peer reviews of the business requirements to ensure that requirement specifications are correctly interpreted.
  • Manages and tracks the status of requirements throughout the project lifecycle; enforce and redefine as necessary.
  • Communicates changes, enhancements, and modifications of business requirements — verbally or through written documentation — to squad, product owner, scrum master, sponsors, and other stakeholders so that issues and solutions are understood.

Who we’re looking for

We are looking for an individual with a solid grasp of the SDLC in an agile environment and is comfortable working with international multi-functional teams!

Your experience:

  • College diploma or university degree in the field of business administration, finance, or information systems
  • Three to five years related work experience
  • Proven experience with business and technical requirement’s analysis, elicitation, modeling, verification, and methodology development
  • Demonstrated Agile skills and project management software skills, including planning, organizing, and managing resources
  • Working knowledge of Office suite of products, Jira, Confluence,

  • Excellent analytical, mathematical, and creative problem-solving skills
  • Excellent listening, interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills
  • Logical and efficient, with keen attention to detail
  • Highly self-motivated and directed
  • Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks while under pressure
  • Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment
  • Agile and Scrum experience
