We are looking for a Build & Tech Ops Engineer to join our Technology Delivery team in Bulgaria.
You’re the sort of person to provide management and maintenance of the technical infrastructure and the ongoing improvements. You’ll also ensure that the pre-production environments are safe, resilient and stable. You will have a direct influence on the successful delivery of our software products and services through the SDLC.
Are you our next star player?
You will be working with development, QA and Software Release teams as you will lead the release of new and existing builds, artifacts and hotfix deployments. You will also be responsible for the running software versions and changes to ensure a continuous state of known environment configure and version control across pre-production.
Why we need you
We need you to ensure high levels of pre-production service level operations as you will be responsible for leading and supporting the system infrastructure. This would include day-to-day support operations, system monitoring and incident management.
Who we’re looking for
We are on the hunt for someone who can safely propagate new code changes to support delivery, ensuring the successful upkeep of the test environments and work closely with IT, Systems, Application Development and QA Teams to ensure that deployment of releases deliver new and awesome functionality while protecting the quality and integrity of existing services and the environment configuration within version management control of software versioning and baseline configurations.
You’d be the detailed person to deploy and validate servers, desktop and mobile client software releases through the different stages of the software lifecycle and test environments. You’d also be the person to identify, troubleshoot and resolve problems related to environment issues, configurations and general software changes. You will have experience of working within a fast-paced environment and working across different business functions whilst simultaneously balancing multiple projects and priorities with minimal direction whilst working under to a time-frame.
You will have the knowledge of automated Build and Release/DevOps practices with tools technologies and architecture such as Maven, Gradle, JIRA, TFS, Nexus, XL Release/Deploy, Kubernetes, HashiCorp Consul/Vault, Docker/Podman and Microservices. You will work with developers and admins to understand the impacts of branches and code merges whilst presenting release details and schedules to partners as the need arises. You will also proficient with CI tools such as Jenkins and Gitflow / Github.
You’re the type of person to provide change notification and environment status updates to partners to ensure known status on test environment operating status whilst running all tasks via JIRA for detailed tracking, logging clear and detailed information and collaborating with other technical teams; and of course, most importantly, you are curious and driven to acquire new skills and improve existing ones whilst retaining your collaborative, accountable, creative and agile mentality driven by a passion for doing what’s right.
