The role: We are looking for a Regional Commercial Manager for Italy for Betfair International to be based in our Dublin office.

Betfair International must think globally to leverage our scale, however we also need to consider the local customer needs in our focus markets. Understanding the market context, competitor set, and local regulation will be key to our success here. Therefore, we will seek to drive Global thinking, with local expertise.

You will report to the Betfair International Sports director and work in partnership with the Global Commercial team. Your role will be responsible for being a regional expert and understanding the drivers of market performance, competitors in the Italian market and drivers of our own performance within the market. You will help identify the initiatives and activities that will fuel our growth in the Italian market.

Why we need you:

As a regional expert you will focus on understanding our positioning within the Italian market and helping shape our regional proposition based on this expert knowledge, this will include but not be limited to; Pricing, Product, Promotions and Content.

You will be responsible for understanding the drivers of regional performance focusing on our key metrics of DAU & NGR and you will work in close collaboration with our compliance teams to ensure our offering in the Italian market is complaint. You will work closely with the Global Commercial team who will maintain responsibility with bringing all our regional propositions to life in a scalable manner through all central touch points – you be responsible for defining regional priorities here based on customer, market and competitor data points. You will also collaborate with the regional marketing colleagues to help inform locally relevant campaigns.

Who we’re looking for:

We are looking for a creative thinker with thorough understanding of the economics behind Sports betting. You are proficient with datasets to make informed recommendations and have experience working across a complex organisation. You also have a proven track record of quality decision making and influencing people to deliver results; thus you are comfortable communicating with others, particularly to senior stakeholders on complex topics.

You are fluent speaking in English and Italian.
