The role:  Copywriter

We are looking for a Copywriter to join our expanding Marketing Communications team, based in our Leeds service office.

So, who are we? We’re home to some of the biggest, most exciting brands in the online gaming industry, with offices, events and players all over the world. We’re the ultimate owner of such brands as PokerStars and PokerStars Casino, as well as live poker tour and event brands.

Why we need you: –

We need you to write fresh, vibrant and innovative content for the Group’s three product verticals: Poker, Sportsbook and Casino. You will work through a constant stream of copywriting jobs for these verticals, which will mainly be related to the group’s CRM and Digital activity, and involve writing web promotional content, banners, emails, and some news items. But will also include games rules, software and much, much more.

You should have sound knowledge and understanding of our industry and its major players. In-depth knowledge of any or all of the poker, sports and casino verticals is also important, as is a sense of humour and a hard-work ethic. You will be responsible for the creation of written content for Group approved promotions and launches across Poker, Casino and Sports web/app estate (and other player communications channels) and ensure all areas of the group’s web estate are up-to-date and accurate. You will accurately, and with great eye for detail, work within standards on terminology, structures, content guidelines, etc. under guidance of a Content Manager.

Who are we looking for: –

We are looking for an experienced copywriter with affinity to, and knowledge of, the online gaming industry and our customers. You will need strong creative writing skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced work environment. A keen eye for detail and a solid understanding of digital marketing is also essential.  You’ll need to be a clear and concise communicator, comfortable with dealing with stakeholders from across the business. You should be used to working in a highly organised and structured approach with excellent accuracy and attention to detail to follow guidelines to the utmost detail.

As the ideal candidate, you will have: –

Extensive experience in copywriting, preferably working as part of a larger, internationally operating company. Ideally, you will have experience writing high volume structured content assets like product, e-commerce.
