The role: Database DevOps Engineer

We are looking for a Database DevOps Engineer to join our BI Management department.

You can join our Development DBA team and you will work closely with the Infrastructure DBA and the Database developers.

Why we need you?

As а Business Database DevOps Engineer you will join a multinational team of about 10 professionals. The role will report directly to the Director of BI, who is located in Isle of Man.

Some of your responsibilities:

• Design, implementation and support of a Database (SQL Server) DevOps solution, for a critical SQL Server Data Warehouse (DWH) system
• Development and sustainment of the CICD processes
• Ensuring smooth integration and deployment of database changes
• You’ll work with the Infrastructure DBA team to integrate tools and provision resources
• You’ll work with the Development team to automate and streamline releases

Who we’re looking for

Your experience:

• You have at least 3+ years’ experience in a similar role
• Excellent with Windows and Linux servers
• Experience with CICD pipelines using Jenkins
• Experience integrating 3^rd party tools for Databases DevOps such as Reg-Gate SQL Change Automation, DBmaestro or similar
• Advance level in managing and administering source control repositories within a continuous integration environment, Jenkins Workflows, coding against SDKs and APIs and SQL Server.

• Ability to function as a self-starter with emphasis on getting things done under pressure of tight deadline
