The role: Head of Product
We are looking for a Head of Product to join our International Sports Product team in Leeds!
Are you our next star player?
Reporting to the Director of Product, International Sports, this role will be responsible for owning the Product Roadmap across Betfair International.
Based in Leeds or Dublin with travel required to the other offices you will play a fundamental role in the future development and success of Betfair International. Working with a wide range of Stakeholders across the International and UK&I divisions you will be responsible for ensuring we maximise the return on investment we are making on our platforms and products to make sure they are stable, scalable, easy to use and engaging whilst balancing the need to improve existing systems with the demands of the business to expand into new jurisdictions.
Why we need you
Acting as the interface between the UK&I development teams and the Betfair International business, you will be responsible for the identification, validation, and communication of business requirements. You will use data to drive your decisions and in doing so prioritise the relevant backlogs to improve value to the business.
Who we’re looking for
In this role, you’ll use Commercial, Insight and Research functions to identify the features and requirements with the most customer and business value to find opportunities and to prioritise the backlog. You’ll define clear & unambiguous functional and non-functional business requirements and processes and communicate these as appropriate with development partners.
You’ll also initiate research programmes that identify and help us understand how we best serve the needs of our customers in our product. You’ll be encouraged to facilitate workshops, interviews and meetings with business partners and their delegates to capture and document the existing business process and desired changes, using standard process modelling techniques.
We’d like you to share the reasoning behind your decisions with appropriate partners, define and communicate the priority for delivery. You’ll be able to build relationships with other Product Managers across the business to understand how your areas of focus impact or depend on other roadmaps and subsequently get those opportunities scheduled on their roadmaps
You’ll build and maintain a good working relationship with colleagues in Commercial, Trading, Operational and Technology functions. As a senior leader in the tribe, you’ll work without constraints to seek improvements in culture, process, and communications. You’ll also review, measure and assess delivered solutions to ensure fitness for purpose.
