Leeds, United Kingdom Marketing Permanent

The role: Insight Community Manager

We are looking for a Community Manager to join our busy and dynamic Consumer & Market Understanding team based in our Leeds service office.

Are you our next star player?

We are building a new Marketing Centre of Excellence in Leeds, and we’re looking for individuals with big ideas and the ability to think creatively and outside of the box. You will become part of a company that gives you everything you need to create winning moments to push your own boundaries and build the best experience for our millions of players around the world.

Why we need you:

This role is part of the Consumer and Market Understanding team – we conduct market research across the globe through online surveys, interviews, focus groups etc.  One way we reach people to get customers to have their say through research is through research communities.

We’re using insight communities to give our customers a voice in helping us to craft better products, offers and experiences.  This new and varied role will be pivotal in managing and maintaining our communities of customers, allowing their perspectives to be shared with colleagues at all levels and in all teams.

PokerStars currently have several research communities – these are online platforms our customers can join to take part in regular research. We are looking to expand the number of communities we have and require an organised individual to lead this area. To ensure that the business and members of the community are getting the most out of it, you will be key to ensuring that content on the site is up to date and refreshed regularly, that we communicate with members consistently and at the right frequency and provide feedback to members about changes they have influenced.

Other responsibilities include:

  • Managing and updating an upcoming calendar of activities
  • Working with research team members to coordinate the scheduling and deployment of research projects (e.g. emailing survey campaigns, managing frequency of communications with members)
  • Liaise with marketing and translation colleagues to collate, rewrite and arrange translation content to our community members (e.g. polls, blog posts, newsletters)
  • Moderate live discussions and online forum comments
  • Support research colleagues to plan, develop, manage and deliver research projects through the platform
  • Communicate with stakeholders (project owners) to understand how research results have been used and feedback to community members about any changes being implemented based on their survey results
  • Maintain community health – you will be up to date on the number of community members, recruitment of new members, participation rates in surveys, engagement rates with content
  • Keep up to date with technical platform updates (e.g. new features)

Who we are looking for:

We are looking for a self-starter with outstanding organisational skills who have previous project management experience. Strong interpersonal skills are crucial as you will be liaising with multiple stakeholders and external partners. As part of the role, you will also be producing online content for an online platform of poker players, casino gamers and sports betters across several countries. Full training in Sparq (online platform which hosts our communities) will be provided. Additionally, you have proven experience with content/mailer or social media management tools e.g. Hootsuite, Social Pilot, Mail Chimp

What’s in it for you?

Our experience-based salaries are competitive. Plus, there’s a discretionary annual performance bonus. And we provide advice and dedicated assistance to those moving to Leeds.

Your package will include:

  • health and dental insurance for you, your partner and your children (if you all live at the same address)
  • the option to join our company pension scheme
  • £1,000 as congratulations if you have a baby whilst you work for us
  • discounted gym membership
  • in-house training and development to develop your skills, progressing your career
  • free fresh fruit
  • social events; including our sensational summer and Christmas parties.

What happens next?

We will aim to get back to you as soon as possible. If you meet the criteria, we’ll schedule a zoom interview.
