Lead Infrastructure Architect

We are looking for a Lead Infrastructure Architect to join our SRE Architecture team in Toronto!

A successful candidate will have a direct influence on all aspects of our complex infrastructure. Our team and infrastructure are rapidly growing; thus, we seek your experience and expertise to nurture it.

Why we need you

You will lead a team of infrastructure architects responsible for design, planning and maintenance of our existing and future on-premise datacenters and cloud infrastructure. You will work with our SRE Program and Delivery Managers in order to collaboratively plan required infrastructure capacity and associated budgets on the ongoing basis. You will serve as a top technical authority to assist SRE delivery with complex tasks and issues.

Who we’re looking for:

A successful candidate should have a proven experience in designing and executing complex technical projects related to on-premise and cloud infrastructure. A proven track of technical leadership roles is a must. And most importantly we are looking for someone with great inter-personal and communication skills in order to serve as a mediator and liaison between multiple technical and business teams.

Your experience:

• 10+ years designing and maintaining complex on-premise datacenters
• At least 3 years of technical leadership experience, you know how to “manage 360” and exert influence to get stuff done
• Solid planning and organizational skills and experience, you can align technical teams around architectural vision
• Excellent inter-personal and communication skills
• Technical visionary and evangelist, you know how to define a long-term roadmap and come up with a plan to make it happen

Your skills:

• Network (Routers, Switches, Load Balancers, Firewalls, FC and Ethernet)
• Servers and Storages (Dell, HP, Oracle, EMC, Pure Storage)
• Operating Systems (Windows, Linux, MacOS)
• Virtualization and Containers (VMWare, Docker, Kubernetes)

• Expert in liaising with partners from different business units
• A Leader, able to ignite, lead and manage technology experts
• Solution finder attitude with a systematic approach
