The role: Operations Insight Analyst

We are looking for an Operations Insight Analyst to join our busy and dynamic Business Analytics team in our Leeds office.

Why we need you

You will be the analytical partner for our Operations (Customer Support) stakeholders to provide ad-hoc analysis and insights as required, while also promoting an insight driven approach to decision-making. You’ll deliver analytical projects within a fast-paced environment and apply data to areas such as return on investment and A/B testing.

You will monitor business performance by understanding the complex interaction of multiple key performance indicators and supporting our Operations division on operational excellence projects.

Who we’re looking for

  • Degree qualified in a quantitative area, such as Statistics, Maths or Economics, or have relevant experience gained within data analytics.
  • As you will be communicating with various areas of the business, relaying insights to non-technical staff members, as such a great command of English is fundamental.
  • The nature of our industry requires individuals to be able to work well in a fast-paced environment.
  • The ability to see the bigger picture. The insights you provide will have an impact on the business, so it is important for you to evaluate these and prioritise the value adding tasks.
  • Proficient at extracting and working with large data sets using SQL, MicroStrategy, or similar.
  • Strong experience in data visualization, with a track record of delivering clear, concise insights to stakeholders, using tools such as PowerPoint or Tableau.
  • Passion to further grow your expertise and develop experience in applying innovative data analytics techniques such as Machine Learning and Natural Language Processing.

As the ideal candidate, you will have:-

Experience in standard data querying and provision of ad-hoc reports, whilst also have experience in applying statistical techniques to problems (e.g. hypothesis testing, regression analysis, time series analysis, or similar) is desirable. Experience working with statistical packages in Python or R, or similar tools such as, SPSS, SAS, R, KNIME etc, with Knowledge of payments, customer support, security or operational practices within the gaming industry is ideal.

Knowledge of online Poker, Casino or Sportsbook industries is also helpful. As is understanding of database management systems such as DB2 is also a plus.
