The role: Planning & Strategy Manager (Commercial Planning)

We are looking for a Planning & Strategy Manager to join our Marketing team, based in our Leeds office.

Are you our next star player?

We are looking to transform our Pokerstars Marketing department’s approach to Strategic Planning and we are looking for a highly commercial/strategic thinker to join our marketing department and lead on future planning. Whilst Poker is still core to the Pokerstars proposition it’s within Casino & Sports that we see growth potential.

We need someone who is able to spot opportunities across our verticals and apply themselves and others to unlocking them. This role will be responsible for establishing long term strategic plans working collaboratively with our Vertical product & marketing leads on cross-vertical opportunities.

Why we need you: –

  • Working with the Strategic Planning Director & Vertical in building propositions that meet our players needs
  • Working with the research team to build-out views of customer insights that gets to the heart of what the player wants from our products and sets customer goals around their needs.
  • Building a yearly roadmap of strategic plans and plays a key role in proposition development pre-brief.
  • Building a view of existing processes to cross-sell between products and look for gaps / opportunities for us to ideate around.
  • Key stakeholder in the roll out of our new customer segmentation and how we might utilize this both within our strategic planning & also operationally.
  • Reviewing our campaign plans and looks for opportunity to better integrate cross-vertically in order to maximise our impact.
  • Key part of a cross-departmental working group to ideate and execute on multi-vertical opportunities and our ongoing reward strategy.
  • Able to work with various data inputs to give fully fledged and well-rounded strategic rationale on how we will be tackling business problems.
  • Developing a long-range plan that has an 18-month view against our customer goals

Who are we looking for: –

  • A commercial thinker with 2-5 years’ experience working within the gambling industry
  • Is this first person in the room to clearly articulate the business problem or opportunity.
  • Ideal candidate would be able to back up creative ideas with strong commercial reasoning and would-be comfortable crafting compelling cases out of multiple sources of insight.
  • Strong communication skills, creative flair and experience of bringing ideas & plans to life
  • A skilled relationship manager, you’ll build strong, sustainable business relationships across teams
  • Experience of project management processes and demonstrates strong organisation and influencing skills.
  • Dynamic, agenda setting individual capable of working within a multi-location team and across multiple markets
  • Excellent communicator and presenter of ideas
