We are looking for a PMO lead to join the Delivery practice, taking responsibility for establishing a PMO function, setting up core PMO process and best practice, implementing tools and training, risk management and influencing the strategic direction of project/programme delivery.

The PMO lead will assist in identifying and/or developing frameworks and methodologies that ensure management of projects will be comprehensive and consistent across different initiatives.

This will include ownership of delivery methods, tools and templates, implementation of reporting & KPI dashboards, maintaining and evolving the Delivery Framework to drive best practice and standardisation, establishment and assurance of cross tribe delivery standards, cross tribe demand and capacity coordination and will be a key interface into the Portfolio Office.

Essentially, the PMO lead is owning the rule book for how Flutter International delivers projects, and ensures frameworks, tools, governance, assurance and risk management activities are adopted and robust for continued future growth.

You will work closely with the Portfolio Office to support the new demand pipeline and maintain an accurate demand and supply tribe capacity plan & resource schedule.

As the business has grown at an incredible rate, this team is essential in ensuring projects are controlled, assured and supported throughout their full life cycles ranging from identify, validate, plan, build and land, on an international scale.

Why we need you:

  • Setting up an effective and collaborative PMO function within a large cross tribe technology function.
  • Maintain and evolve the overarching delivery framework and evolve to drive best practice and standardisation ensuring that all projects across the portfolio adhere to the best practices and standard approaches for project management and governance reviews during each phase of project delivery’s lifecycle.
  • Manage and improve upon reporting frameworks that tracks performance (delivery KPIs) against delivery priorities and key projects
  • Instigate Project Delivery best practice, governance and standards.
  • Standardising project methodology, documentation and processes.
  • Reporting to senior stakeholders and preparation of management packs, forecasting for resource demand against planned projects.
  • Work closely with Project Managers and Delivery Managers across the business to assess the demand, supply and capacity of resources, ensuring resource is reallocated as needed.
  • Proactively manages change control and communicates impact in project scope, identifies risks/issues, and devises contingency plans.
  • Identifies and manages project dependencies and critical paths while maintaining accurate project plans with real-time milestones, tasks, and project health data for the portfolio in the PPM tools.
  • Hold Project Managers accountable and escalate where needed.
  • Regular project analysis, data and portfolio reporting, pulling metric-based reports from any project management software or tools in use.
  • Establishing and managing reviews at appropriate points during and after projects and/or programmes in portfolios, which will inform their governance by providing evaluations of progress, methodologies, and continuing relevance.

Who we are looking for:

  • Experience of managing a PMO office or a large projects encompassing PMO functions, including relevant qualifications (ie APMP/Prince II).
  • Good overall knowledge of Project Management and methodologies (inc Agile).
  • Leadership / Management experience from a senior project management role.
  • Experience of analysing project plans, dependency management, baseline management and resource usage across a programme portfolio.
  • Expertise in using defined programme and project delivery processes consistently over time.
  • Sound interpersonal skills to interact and build relationships with multiple stakeholders at all levels.
  • Effective communication and presentation skills.
  • Ability to influence, challenge and change mindsets.
  • Strong analytical and reporting skills.
