The role: Product Owner, Trading

We are looking for a Product Owner, Trading to join our Product team in Leeds!

Our tech teams work remotely within the UK, occasionally you’ll need to come to the office in Leeds. Not often, but up to 4-5 times a month and of course, we’ll cover all related expenses. Working as a team is what makes us great and spending quality time together is essential for keeping us mission-aligned.

Are you our next star player?

The PokerStars Sports Product Team is a diverse team of 15 people, with a combination of Product Owners and Business Analysts supporting a fast-growing sportsbook that is live in multiple countries around the world. This role will be reporting into the Head of Product, and has line-management responsibility for two Business Analysts.

 Why we need you

In this role, you’ll create, own and manage the product roadmap. You’ll define and prioritise the work to be undertaken by the squad. You will accurately capture requirements and ensure they are clearly communicated to and understood by the squads.

You’ll also collaborate closely with key team members, both within Flutter and externally, and clearly manage expectations. You’ll be expected to report and communicate progress against critical metrics regularly at management level. You’ll understand and own the entire end to end process around product development from idea creation to product validation and delivery. Also, you’ll coordinate product launches with key team members. and other tribes and functions within the business.

Who we’re looking for

Someone who can put the customer at the heart of everything they do – our Sports customers deserve the best sports-betting experience we can offer.

Your experience:

  • Experience in a Product Owner or Business Analyst role, preferably within the gaming industry is a plus
  • Knowledge of, or experience with trading platforms, feed integrations, or sports models is sought after and preferable
  • Experience in people-management is a bonus

Your skills:

  • A thorough understanding of a Sportsbook, how it works and what you can do to improve our market offering
  • An excellent understanding of Risk & Trading
  • Comfortable with communicating both upwards and downwards, delivering feedback to squads and direct reports, as well as advising partners on ticket progress or issues

Your behaviours:

You have an analytical mentality and base key decisions on data. You are comfortable making key decisions and priority calls, in pressurised situations. You are commercially savvy and understand the need to see the big picture in terms of making key decisions to drive the business

If you’re what we’re looking for, next up will be a 30-minute introductory zoom interview. And if that goes well, we’ll invite you for a 60-minute more in-depth technical interview.
