We are looking for a release manager to join our busy and dynamic team based in our Sofia, Bulgaria Office.
Why we need you:
You’ll be playing a key part in delivering the Stars Group’s Marketing Technology solutions to our customers. You’ll plan, schedule, prepare for and own all the department’s web application releases.
You’ll be heavily involved in operations, managing communications internally and externally about the release schedule, cadence and content. You’ll help maintain product library and ownership and Jenkins script maintenance. You’ll coordinate with delivery managers, QA managers, DevOps, web managers and product owners to ensure new code is safely and efficiently propagated to production. You’ll understand requirements and coordinate releases into the many regulated markets we operate in.
You’ll also be focused on technical process improvements, playing a big part in improving the CI/CD pipeline as well as creating and refining processes around change, configuration management and release governance.
You’ll work with cross functional squads, each with their own SDLCs, to understand and meet their unique needs while providing a layer of transparency and reporting for senior management.
Who are we looking for:
You’ll have a bachelor’s degree in computer science or another related field. You’ll have experience in the IT Software Release Management domain in a large volume online environment.
You’ll have experience with automated build and release/devops tools.
You’ll have experience with automation tools. Experience with programming languages is a plus.
You’ll have a solid understanding of Agile delivery practices and DevOps methodologies. You’ll be familiar with IT service management practices such as change, configuration and release management.
You’ll have a strong ability in written and oral communication – looking to coordinate and facilitate delivery across diverse, cross functional teams.
You’ll need to be a problem solver, able to multi-task on several projects simultaneously as well as being someone who can find resolutions to conflict easily. You’ll be a team player, looking to support your colleagues all over the world.
If you have experience in online poker, casino, sports book or video game development that’s a plus. In addition, experience with 3rd party integrations, online gaming, online marketing or JIRA/Confluence is a bonus too.
