The role: Senior Acquisition Analytics Manager

We are looking for an Senior Acquisition Analytics Manager to join our busy and dynamic Business Analytics team in our Dublin office.

We’re looking for a someone who needs to know the answers to join our growing team of Business Intelligence experts. We are passionate, like-minded individuals pooling together their expertise to provide cutting edge insights that drive the development of our world-leading Poker Room, Casino and Sportsbook.

We play the long game here at Stars and Business Intelligence is central to that strategy. Your analysis and your insights will make substantive changes to a business servicing more than 100 million registered players.

Why we need you:-

You, as a Senior Acquisition Analytics Manager, will be leading a team of acquisition analysts in supporting our marketing team in understanding channel and campaign performance, budget planning and more advanced modelling such as MMM and attribution models. You’ll work closely with Performance Marketing stakeholders, not only providing timely insights when requested, but also spending considerable time focusing on your own development and your own ideas – looking for those ‘unknown unknowns’ that really provide a WOW! moment for the business.

Key responsibilities

  • Managing the Acquisition Analytics team, promoting insight driven decision making
  • Delivery of advanced analytical projects within a fast-moving environment such as MMM and attribution modelling, customer segmentation and LTV.
  • Application of data to areas such as A/B testing and ROI analysis
  • Extracting and analysing very large and multi-dimensional data sets
  • Provide ad-hoc analysis and insights as required
  • Automate reporting and dashboarding (where applicable)
  • Ensure stakeholders are informed about expectations and prioritises

Who are we looking for:-

  • Degree in the quantitative areas (STEM) or significant work experience
  • Proven experience managing an analytics team
  • Knowledge of the digital marketing channels
  • Some knowledge of the online Poker / Casino / Sportsbook industries would be an asset
  • Practical experience with data and analysis tools (MicroStrategy, SAS, SQL, R, KNIME, GA, etc.)
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint etc.)
  • Ability to deliver high quality work under pressure of deadlines
  • Ability to function as a self-starter, providing high quality work under pressure of very tight deadlines
  • Demonstrate excellent people management, interpersonal, presentation and communication skills
  • A passionate team player

As the ideal candidate, you will have:-

  • Advanced degree or PHD
  • Previous experience in the online gaming industry
  • Experience in data visualization
  • Commercial experience with Python or R
