The role: Senior Configuration Analyst

We are looking for a Senior Configuration Analyst to join our IT & Production Operations Department in Sofia, Bulgaria.

The Sr. Configuration Analyst guides the implementation of systems security activities which include: creating/submitting baselines, analyzing system settings, and making recommendations for system updates to ensure appropriate security regulations and standards, re- configuring and maintaining on-prem Windows Applications across different data centers to satisfy the infrastructure or R&D needs.  If you are a C/C++ engineer, with experience of enterprise legacy systems, written in C++ you are a perfect fit.

 

Why we need you

As a Sr. Configuration Analyst, you will be playing a key part in expanding the Stars Group’s Infrastructure business. You’ll be working with systems and DBAs on environment infrastructure, as well as assisting QA teams with their tasks. You will have the opportunity to join a multinational team of some 20 experienced professionals. The role reports directly to the Senior IT & DevOps Manager who is located in Sofia, Bulgaria.

Some of your responsibilities will be:

  • Day to day work with system infrastructure and application configuration.
  • You will configure, deploy and troubleshoot applications in all of the company’s verticals.
  • Taking part in server restarts and contributing to architectural decisions whenever is needed.
  • Monitoring system components’ health and performance.
  • Maintaining multiple environments in QA and Production.
  • Collaboration with other teams on application and deployment requirements.

Who we’re looking for?

Your experience:

  • Proficiency in C/C++ Windows Application development.
  • Proficiency in PowerShell is a plus.
  • Familiarity with Windows and Linux OS.
  • General computer networking knowledge.
  • Experience with configuration management tools like Saltstack or Ansible is a plus.
  • Experience with Version Control (Git/Bitbucket).

Your skills:

  • Coaching new team members and participating in urgent cases.
  • Ability to perform analysis and recommend how to enhance it.
  • Strong written and presentation skills in English.
