The role: Senior Finance Manager

We are looking for an experienced Finance Manager to join our busy and dynamic Analytics team in our Dublin or Isle of Man office.

Why we need you:

As the Senior Finance Manager, you will be responsible for accounting, reviewing and reporting functions for the International Division of the Flutter Group. Reporting to the Finance Director, you will take ownership of the month end close process as well as ensuring timely completion of Group reporting packs in addition to working with key business stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities include:

  • Taking responsibility for the reliability and integrity of the underlying financial information within International Entities
  • Management of the relationship with the Group finance team as part of the Corporate reporting cycles
  • Creating strong business partnerships with senior internal stakeholders and managing service levels with external third-party service providers
  • Ownership of half year and year-end audit planning, preparation and engagement with our external auditors.
  • Playing a leading role on the Oracle ERP implementation during late 2021. Working with the finance systems team to automate and optimise efficiency.
  • Advising and supporting the accounting processes of the rapidly growing network of internationally based subsidiaries including integration and post-acquisition activities
  • Overseeing the maintenance and improvement of internal controls within the Accounts department.
  • Mentoring and training of more junior staff

Who are we looking for

  • Fully qualified (Big 4 preferred) with one of the recognised accountancy bodies
  • ERP system implementation experience
  • 7+ years post qualification experience in IFRS financial reporting within a PLC or multinational corporate environment
  • Significant experience of the control environment relating to financial reporting and the month-end close process
  • Demonstrable excellent organisation skills and an ability to deliver high quality work under pressure of tight deadlines
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal

The ideal candidate will also have

  • Technical knowledge and prior experience of dealing with accounting for acquisition and financing transactions
