Job Purpose

The Senior Operations Reporting Analyst will be responsible for being the key pillar in supporting the team’s work in our SQL environment, helping with data management duties as well as the go-to-expert for functions and code improvements for the team. You will be someone with a very keen eye for detail, someone who is comfortable exploring databases and understanding relations. You have extensive SQL scripting and dba experience and can therefore be comfortable setting up structures for tables and procedures for functions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Code efficiencies, CTEs, functions
  • Data management
  • Maintenance of internal DBA
  • Coach and support team in SQL
  • Extracting and analysing multi-dimensional and unstructured data
  • Delivery of advanced analytical projects within a fast paced environment
  • Monitoring business performance through understanding the complex interaction of multiple KPIs
  • Application of data to areas such as contact mitigation, A/B testing or ROI
  • Mathematical application of data and understanding statistical relevance
  • Provide ad-hoc analysis and insights as required

Essential

  • Extensive analytical skills and experience, including a minimum of three years relevant work experience
  • Extensive knowledge of SQL, utilizing CTEs, stored procedures, optimising scripts.
  • Advanced experienced with SQL server tools (SSIS/SSRS)
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office (Access, Excel, PowerPoint etc.)
  • Medium/advanced knowledge of Python
  • Ability to deliver high quality work under pressure of deadlines
  • Ability to clearly communicate ideas and results to non-technical business people, both written and orally
  • Ability to turn complex concepts into actionable recommendations
  • Extensive statistical analysis
  • Attention to details in scripts as well as data trends

Desirable

  • Degree in the quantitative areas or a minimum of three years relevant work experience
  • Knowledge of Operational Practices
  • Practical experience with statistical tools (MicroStrategy, SSRS, R, Python, SPSS, SAS, R, KNIME, other)
  • Practical experience with cloud-based services such as Azure
  • Extensive data warehouse knowledge working with dbas and tables
  • Knowledge of the online Poker / Casino/ Sportsbook industries
  • Experience in data mining / advanced analytics (clustering, regression, predictive models, machine learning or similar)
