We are looking for a Senior UX Researcher to join our GSTP team in Leeds!

Who we’re looking for

For you, research doesn’t just mean sitting behind a desk churning numbers all day, it means analysing data to spot product facing opportunities to improve our designs and journeys through the site. It also means you’ll love facilitating user research to really understand what drives our customers. You’ll then be chomping at the bit to share the results which you’ll analyse and present to partners to influence our product managers and designers to iterate our designs.

You’re someone who can spot opportunity in the detail and who isn’t afraid to challenge the status quo based on rational and objective data points and qualitative research. We’ll expect you to look inside and outside the market place for market opportunities in key areas like navigation, feature set and more.

Your experience:

  • Expertise in user research, facilitating partner workshops, information architecture, rapid prototyping and testing, allowing you to cover a broad remit across a number of projects
  • Experience in planning, facilitating and analysing field research, e.g. diary studies, contextual interviews
  • Expertise in analysing quantitative data to spot opportunities, analyse results and publish those results in a compelling way with partners.
  • Experience in online user research tools and facilitating in-house ‘lab’ and guerrilla style user research that help validate concepts and designs
  • Experience in A/B and Multivariate Testing using online tools to drive optimisation, or how you’d use these tools to test the impact of features and design changes.
  • Experience in web analytics for driving conversion / acquisition / retention
  • Strong mobile/responsive design experience

Your skills and behaviours:

You’re a good communicator and can build successful relationships with fellow researchers, designers and UX architects, product managers, marketing executives, developers, business analysts and solutions architects.

You’re a specialist in analysing data (qualitative and quantitative) and know how to tell a story with the data to influence your partners. You keep up to date with the latest industry trends and share this with internal communities.

You have worked in a dynamic, collaborative, transparent, non-hierarchal culture. You thrive in a fast-paced, results driven organisation. You’re able to contribute to UX culture and thinking as the team grows. You have an obsession for the finer detail, constantly striving for perfection
