Reporting into the Head of Architecture you will focus on ensuring our policies, processes, standards, systems and services are ISO27001 compliant.

Working with our Product, Engineering, Operations, Security and Compliance and Architecture teams you will play a key role in preparing us for ISO27001 certification.

Be the design authority and subject matter lead for the ISO27001 programme.

You’ll be a technical subject matter expert in GSTP products and services, identifying, communicating, and managing goals, constraints, and risks. You’ll build alignment and shared understanding, guiding your squads to build the right thing, and build it right.

Together with the other GSTP architects, you will develop and communicate an architectural vision and roadmap which is understood and supported by the whole business, and which provides clear, achievable principles and direction for the technology team to follow.

Your experience:

You will be required to collaborate with the Business Analysis team to define the scope of the ISO27001 certification, understand business processes, evaluate concepts and to design and document ISO27001 controls.

  • Design, ad document GSTP’s controls for ISO27001 certification
  • Lead on technical design for the ISO27001 programme
  • Operate and chair compliance Tech Working Groups to develop ISO27001 processes, approaches and solutions which can be shared across the Tribe
  • Work with our engineering teams to ensure that the work committed to is fully understood and urgent matters are dealt with
  • Presenting to, influencing and working with senior stakeholders in Technology and across the wider business (Directors and Heads of Department) 
  • Working with a variety of stakeholders to develop processes that provide a balance of agility and control 
  • Work with in-house and third-party development teams and external COTS vendors  
  • Occasionally work hands on with engineers, but also be outward facing, understanding the bigger picture
  • Highlight, document, and communicate technical priorities; Drive down tech debt
  • Work on documentation and diagrams to aid understanding and alignment
  • Communicate key facts, risks, and assumptions to enable the heads of function to understand and make the right high-level decisions for GSTP’s products and services
  • Be the guardian of quality of your architectural domain, making sure it’s fit for purpose, and built with NFRs and evolvability in mind
  • Evangelise operational concerns
  • Assess the impact of upcoming pieces of work on our teams, and architecture; Identify the key decisions
  • Be an active member of our thriving tech community

 Your experience

  • Previous experience of designing, documenting and maintaining controls for ISO27001, SOX, PCI and GDPR
  • Previous experience of working in regulated environments such as ISO27001, SOX, PCI and data protection (ideally in the gambling industry, but experience in other regulated industries is helpful), providing compliance documentation and working with the regulators during consultations to help ensure regulation is fit for purpose.  
  • Experience and understanding security controls such as access control, logging and monitoring and encryption for security and compliance, specifically ISO27001.
  • Held previous roles as a solutions / security / compliance architect in an agile, constantly changing environment
