The role: Technical Product Owner

We are looking for a Technical Product Owner to join our Product team in Sofia!

Our tech teams work remotely within Bulgaria, occasionally you’ll need to come to the office in Sofia. Not often, but up to 4-5 times a month and of course, we’ll cover all related expenses. Working as a team is what makes us great and spending quality time together is essential for keeping us mission-aligned.

Are you our next star player?

The PokerStars Sports Product Team is a diverse team of 15 people, with a combination of Product Owners and Business Analysts supporting a fast-growing sportsbook that is live in multiple countries around the world. This role will be reporting into the Head of Product, and has line-management responsibility for one Business Analyst.

Why we need you

In this role, you’ll create, own and manage the product roadmap. You’ll define and prioritise the work to be undertaken by the squad. You will accurately capture requirements and ensure they are clearly communicated to and understood by the squads.

You’ll also collaborate closely with key team members, across the Sports vertical, and with other teams across the Customer and Commercial functions, to clearly manage expectations. You’ll be expected to report and communicate progress against critical metrics regularly at management level. You’ll understand and own the entire end to end process around product development from idea creation to product validation and delivery. Also, you’ll coordinate product launches with key team members. and other tribes and functions within the business.

Your experience:

  • Experience in a Product Owner or Business Analyst role, preferably within the gaming industry is a plus
  • Knowledge of, or experience with trading platforms, feed integrations, or sports models is sought after and preferable
  • Experience in people-management is a bonus

Your skills:

  • A thorough understanding of Sportsbook, including how CMS work and can evolve to deliver great customer experiences
  • Comfortable with communicating both upwards and downwards, delivering feedback to squads and direct reports, as well as advising partners on ticket progress or issues

Your behaviours:

You have an analytical mentality and base key decisions on data. You are comfortable making key decisions and priority calls, in pressurised situations. You are commercially savvy and understand the need to see the big picture in terms of making key decisions to drive the business
