The role: Virtual Assistant – JS Developer  

We are looking for an Virtual Assistant – JS Developer    to join our team in Malta.

The Virtual Assistant (VA) delivery forms part of the International Automation Function within our Customer & Product org, created to deliver a consistent and transformational delivery of automated solutions across the whole of PokerStars. The team will drive the programme through a mix of process redesign and the design and build of processes in the businesses chosen Virtual Assistant platform. The team is also responsible for the management of relationships across multiple teams to ensure effective delivery of the programme, and a realisation of tangible business benefits.

As an Virtual Assistant Developer you will be responsible for the development of our Virtual Assistant solutions. You will capture, interpret and articulate the Product support specifics from the business.  You will configure and optimise tools based on these requirements and ensure all users have access to the knowledge they need to give our customers the best possible experience. This includes the identifying and implementing product changes to improve the user and customer experience as well as providing operational support for issues and day to day requests.

You will be part of a diverse team based across a number locations who strive to break the distance by using our technologies to communicate better and to upskill and support each other on a daily basis. We are proud of the relationships we have built with our suppliers and the rest of the business over the years.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • You will configure, maintain and optimise our products based on requirements
  • You will manage product improvements and new feature introduction based on the requirements provided by the business with a focus on our virtual assistant suite of solutions.
  • You will analyse, implement, test and report on the performance of BAU process changes for improved application experience
  • You will prototype and test our system features and provide details to our stakeholders
  • You will be key in educating others on how the system works and providing support to our internal stakeholders.
  • You will develop and maintain relationships with relevant stakeholders and third-party suppliers in order to gather all information needed to create training material and product information as well as resolving issues and bugs as quickly as possible.
  • You might need to work on other ad hoc and BAU tasks as directed by the Management team to help operational performance.

 

Skills and Capabilities

Essential

  • In-depth knowledge of modern HTML/CSS and Javascript
  • Solid understanding of how web applications and web services/API work
  • Familiarity with file formats such as XML and JSON
  • Small level of project management experience
  • Experience in issue resolution
  • Willingness to learn and further skills in Machine Learning and other automation technologies
  • Must be able to multitask and willing to work on multiple projects at a given time
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Comfortable interacting with business stakeholders and external clients
  • Ability to work to deadlines and manage expectations
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

The following credentials are a distinct advantage, but not essential for the role:

  • Past experience in developing & maintaining virtual assistant / chat bot solutions
  • Project management qualifications or formal training
  • Experience utilising Lean & Agile methodologies
  • Strong knowledge of MS Office programs
