The role: WHB (Whistleblowing) & Compliance Champions Manager

We are looking for a Compliance Investigator with source management experience to join our busy and multifaceted Anti Bribery & Corruption (‘ABC’) team. This role will also include the maintenance and oversight of the Compliance Champions initiative!

Why we need you

Due to the Flutter International’s extensive and growing international presence and the related increase in complexity and exposure to legislative and regulatory regimes, we need you to join our established ABC team and focus on the accurate awareness raising, control and management of the company’s anonymous reporting line and matters that are reported to it. We also need you to run and maintain our Compliance Champions network. You will report to the Head of Anti-Bribery and Corruption. The ABC team sits within the Legal & Risk Function.

We’ll task you with updating and roll out of Whistleblower Policies, Operating procedures and supporting Investigation procedures; working with HR, legal, Group MLRO and other key partners to ensure the Whilstleblower line is appropriately handled, and anonymous reporters are afforded all appropriate protections. You will also act as Investigations Case Manager for Compliance – assisting on matters that are reported to ABC team, AML team, Sanctions Manager and others applying an established Investigations protocol.

We also need you to maintain the Compliance Champions network which will see you working closely with business representatives across various functions and in all jurisdictions where we have staff (which includes India, Bulgaria, Toronto and Ireland, Malta). This element of the role will involve establishing and rolling out a communications/awareness raising programme, delivering an annual compliance champions event and much more.

Who we’re looking for

You’ll be someone with proven experience in source handling and corporate investigations; used to leading small employment related investigations in line with employment law, up to coordinating internal teams and engaging external counsel in support of larger or sophisticated investigations. You may have some law enforcement background or had a role in Corporate Investigations. You’ll have a genuine interest in all things financial crime, its identification, investigation and prevention. But this is not just a reactive role; you’ll need to be comfortable pro-actively developing and promoting the WHB line in the business, providing training for staff, agreeing investigation standards across various partner groups, assuring regulators as to the required provision and appropriate management of the WHB line; preparing reports for Managers and Divisional Risk Committees amongst other roles and responsibilities!

We’ll expect you to be a well organised individual who works unsupervised in planning and prioritizing your own work, with the ability to handle large workloads to meet deadline pressures and of course, you’ll have excellent attention to detail with the ability to deliver high quality work and maintain records of work conducted on which the company may need to rely on.
